Our Wedding

This wedding isn’t just about the two of us, it’s about making something that’s already true, official: we are a family. We’ve built a life that’s full of love, laughter, and the kind of beautiful chaos that comes with blending lives, children, and hearts. There’s a spark between a mum and an electrician, a feisty redhead, and a home filled with warmth, noise, and more love than we ever expected. It’s not just a marriage , it’s the final step in becoming one big, blended, slightly unconventional (and completely perfect) family. And just to make it that little bit more special, we’re getting married at Our Place at Willunga Hill, the very first restaurant we visited on our first weekend away together. It’s been our favourite spot ever since. What we've built is already real, this day is just the celebration. The full story? We’ll save that for the ceremony. And we truly can’t wait to share it with you.

Our Story

Before it all begins – First LookWe’ll be having our “first look” at the beach that morning, so all the photos will be done before the ceremony. That means no disappearing acts, we’ll be spending the whole day celebrating with you. 12:00pm sharp – CeremonyWe’re tying the knot on the water tank platform outside our reception venue. Guests will be able to stand on the tank, decking and behind the tank during the ceremony. Chairs will be limited to immediate family.Please don’t be late, or risk the walk of shame. Post-Ceremony BitesDrinks and nibbles will be served right after the ceremony, giving everyone time to mingle before the big feast. Lunch Reception – Let’s eat. A lot.Prepare for an 11-course degustation, brought to you by the incredible Andy Clappis.He’ll take you on a culinary tour through history with seasonal dishes and stories that might just make you weep over a roasted carrot. We will be providing a selection of beer and wine from the Fleurieu Peninsula to enjoy over the course of the day and will open up the bar to selected spirits after the speeches. This will go all afternoon until approximately 6pm. What happens after that… well, we’ll see who’s still standing and possibly ready for a second location. Willunga Hill is approximately 55 minutes from Adelaide’s city centre. The reception will finish at 6pm, so you’ll have plenty of time to head home if you're driving back to Adelaide. That said, it’s a long weekend, and if you’re planning to stay nearby, accommodation can book out quickly and be more expensive — so it’s best to secure something sooner rather than later. If you're not driving, keep in mind that transport options can be limited in the southern areas, especially in the evening. If you're planning to use a rideshare service, we recommend pre-booking an UberX or Uber Priority to avoid long waits. Closer to the day, we’ll set up a WhatsApp group to help link guests up for carpooling or sharing transport. Moral of the story? Plan ahead — and don’t get stuck on a long weekend with no way home and sore dance feet.

Because the property sits at the corner of Brookman Road and Range Road, it can be a little confusing when entering the address into maps. If you are planning to make our wedding into a mini holiday? With the long weekend, it’s the perfect chance to explore the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula and enjoy everything this region has to offer. There are plenty of accommodation options along the coast and nearby towns, with something to suit every style and budget.Popular spots to stay include: Port Noarlunga, Seaford, Moana, Maslins, McLaren Vale, Port Willunga, Willunga, Aldinga, Sellicks, and Mount Compass.We recommend booking early, as long weekends in this area can get busy!

Kick-Ons -Keep the Celebration Going The wedding may officially finish at the reception, but the party doesn’t stop there! 🎉We’d love for you to join us for the after party, where the night will roll on with music, dancing and plenty of good vibes. This is the chance to let your hair down, share a few extra drinks, and celebrate into night with us. Details: Kick Back Brewing @ Aldinga We know the best memories often happen once the formalities are over – so come kick on with us and make the night unforgettable. Please note: food and drinks at Kick Back Brewing will be at bar prices (not covered by us). Please RSVP to this if you can so we can make sure we have booked a big enough space, if not, you will need to sit on Jarrod's lap.
